I’m tickled by what makes us tick.
As a performer, playwright, and producer, I wade into the mess of human behavior.
Offstage, I wrangle other creatives. I lead user research, write, and oversee product development. I ask questions: What do customers crave? How do teams collaborate? Why does a business implode—or win it all?
The net result: I partner with designers and other creatives to develop products, stories, and brands that propel us forward.
Currently, I lead strategy and research at Montaag, a design consultancy that primarily focuses on future technology and experiences: making sure machines play well with humans.
If the sparks fly, I take on freelance research, branding, and strategy projects. I also teach and train others in design thinking and practice.
I am the Co-Artistic Director of Dugway Proving Ground Theater.
I was born and raised in Rhode Island, a splendid little place.
I hold a B.A. from Brown University, with a mishmosh of coursework and experience at RISD.
I am apathetic about social media, and have nothing to show for it.
I am happy to talk shop about research, writing, and alternative pathways to producing your own art. It’s a big world out there—no need to go it alone.
